This evening was hosted by Sustainabubbles and was basically a big party! A number of people in the village took up the opportunities to make simple (no brainer) changes to our homes or lifestyles. If we all complete our actions we will save 20 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Friday, 8th November = WILDLIFE FRIENDLY FARMING – Some Success Stories
Two local resident
s, Sarah Pitt and Tim Martin, will perform a double bill! Both spent decades making wildlife films for BBC Natural History Unit but have recently focused on building biodiversity through habitat creation. Both have worked with farmers in North Somerset to help them protect butterflies, wild flowers, cuckoos and many other endangered species. These practices also help restore the soil, reduce pollution and tackle climate change. They will also focus on our local parishes and talk about similar practices to make land and our gardens richer in biodiversity for the future. HOT OFF THE PRESS: they will talk us through the new Ecology report commissioned for our Neighbourhood Plan.
NB if the village fireworks are moved to Fri 8th Nov we will still hold our event and just encourage more people to join us after the fireworks!
